Parental and Godparents Testimonial for the Sacrament of Baptism
Baptism is the first sacrament of the Catholic Church and the gateway to the Christian life. Through this sacrament, we are freed from original sin, reborn as children of God, and welcomed into the Church, the Body of Christ.
Through water and the power of the Holy Spirit, Baptism gives us new life in Christ, fills us with His grace, and calls us to live as His disciples, following His example of love, faith, and service.
Sacred Scripture:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19)
Catechism of the Catholic Church:
“Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit.” (CCC 1213)
Baptism not only marks the beginning of our life in faith, but also unites us to a living community: the Church. It is a free gift from God that remains with us throughout our lives and invites us to grow in holiness.
In our parish, we are honored to walk with families in this important step, lovingly preparing parents and godparents to fully embrace this beautiful sacrament.
